The Family Business Alliance is conducting an Economic Impact Study to accurately measure the contribution of family-owned enterprises across our region. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

The Family Business Alliance is conducting an Economic Impact Study to accurately measure the contribution of family-owned enterprises across our region. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
This survey will help:
• Measure the economic impact of family businesses in West Michigan
• Strengthen advocacy with policymakers, lenders, and community leaders
• Ensure family enterprises are represented accurately in economic reporting
The study will produce:
• A published economic impact report shared at the Family Business Alliance
Signature Event on May 5, 2026
• Key findings shared with regional partners including the Grand Rapids
Chamber, The Right Place, Lakeshore Advantage, Greater Muskegon Economic
Development, and Southwest Michigan First
• Insights into employment trends, growth outlook, succession planning, and
investment patterns
All responses are confidential and reported only in aggregate. No individual company information will be shared, and university
research standards guide the process.
