Executive Director

Mary Cline loves bringing people together. As Executive Director of the Family Business Alliance (FBA), she leads efforts to help West Michigan family businesses connect, learn, and thrive.

Mary joined FBA in 2023 as Director of Membership and Engagement, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and business development. Today, she works with more than 200 member organizations, connecting family business leaders with the resources, programs, and relationships they need to navigate challenges and build lasting legacies.

A relationship-driven leader, Mary is energized by hearing the stories behind family businesses and creating opportunities for members to learn from one another. One of her favorite parts of the job is connecting with FBA’s peer groups and seeing the trusted relationships that develop among members.

Nicki Carew

Program Manager

Nicki brings a background in event coordination and communications to the Family Business Alliance. As Program Manager, she leads event coordination from planning to execution, develops and refines programming, and manages key relationships with vendors, speakers, and staff to ensure quality event experiences.

Dedicated to enhancing the value of Family Business Alliance events, she works to provide members with insightful tools, impactful messages, and valuable networking opportunities. She is committed to fostering meaningful experiences that support the growth and success of family-owned businesses.
